Example - Rail Seals

Sealed and Insulated

The fitting of rails can be a very messy job, trying to lift and hold the rail in place while you line up the holes, apply the sealant, bolt down, then clean up. By using Ureseals the job becomes cleaner, quicker and more efficient. These seals allow you to dry-fit the rails after much of the construction and fitting out has been completed. Fitting the seals under the feet the rail can be bolted down (part way only) and when all rails are mounted sealant can be applied using a fine nozzel. The bolts can then be torqued down.

As the seal creates the waterproofing function the application of sealant will stop any salt build up under the feet. A major advantage is the 1.0mm gap under the feet which will allow the sealant to be retained and not extruded out from under, thereby allowing the sealant to efficiently do its job. If running an electric cable through both deck and rail A Ureseal will effectively close off the hole but be sure to use a seal larger than the cable diameter to allow the cable to be pulled through if required.
